Privacy statement
How Process Measurement & Analysis Limited uses personal information collected through the 3S Online Colorimetric Analyser website, including enquiries, cookies and Google Analytics.
Who we are
The data controller for this website is Process Measurement & Analysis Limited (trading as PMA), company number 01015471. Our registered office is Brook Mills House, Carr Lane, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield, England, HD7 5BG. For privacy enquiries, email privacy@pma.uk.com, telephone 01484 843 708, or write to the registered office.
What information we collect
When you submit the 3S Product Enquiry form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, subject, company name, town or city, telephone number, site application and message. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and may also process technical and security information needed to distinguish legitimate enquiries from automated abuse.
Our website and hosting systems may create technical logs containing information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps and security events. We also store your cookie preference so the website can remember whether you accepted or declined Analytics.
Please do not include special category personal data, confidential personal information or information about another person in an enquiry unless it is necessary and you are authorised to provide it.
Why we use personal information
Enquiries and potential contracts: to respond to questions, assess an application, prepare information or a quotation, and take steps requested before entering into a contract. We rely on steps taken at your request before a contract and on our legitimate interests in operating our business and answering relevant business enquiries.
Website operation and security: to deliver the website, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and protect our systems. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure business website and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.
Analytics: to understand aggregate website usage and improve content and performance. Analytics storage is based on your consent. You can decline it or change your choice at any time using the persistent Cookie choices control.
Records and legal matters: to keep appropriate business records, establish or defend legal claims, and comply with applicable law. We rely on legal obligations and our legitimate interests as appropriate.
Submitting an enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to marketing communications. We will only send electronic marketing where we have an appropriate legal basis and will provide an opt-out where required.
Cookies and Google Analytics
The essential cookie pma_3s_analytics_consent remembers your Analytics choice for 180 days. It is used to apply your preference and provide the Cookie choices control.
If you select Accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google documents a default lifetime of up to two years for these cookies, subject to browser limits. The 3S Analytics property is G-MF4024MVVK. Its current user-level and event-level retention settings are 14 months and two months respectively; aggregate reports may be retained for longer.
If you select Essential only, Analytics storage remains denied and accessible first-party _ga cookies are removed. Google’s consent-aware tag may still receive limited cookieless consent and measurement signals while storage is denied. We keep advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation denied and do not use this site for personalised advertising.
A successful form submission may generate a fixed generate_lead measurement containing only the form ID and the non-personal form name. We do not send the name, email address, telephone number, company, message or other submitted field values to Google Analytics. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Contact forms and service providers
Form submissions are stored in the protected WordPress submission database and delivered to the PMA 3S team through the configured email service. We use service providers where necessary to operate this website, including website hosting and technical-support providers, WordPress/Forminator, SMTP2GO for email delivery, Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention, and Google Analytics for consent-controlled measurement.
These suppliers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. Cloudflare explains its Turnstile processing in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a genuine reorganisation or sale of the business subject to appropriate safeguards.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use the transfer mechanism and safeguards applicable to the provider and destination, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us if you would like further information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and business correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, administer the resulting business relationship, meet legal, accounting or regulatory requirements, and establish or defend legal claims. Technical and security logs are retained according to operational and security needs. Cookie and Analytics periods are described above. We review the need for information and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, and receive portable information. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some rights are limited or do not apply in every circumstance.
To exercise a right, contact privacy@pma.uk.com. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.
Security and automated decisions
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We do not use information collected through this website to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Children
This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the enquiry form.

This website may link to other websites whose privacy practices we do not control. Please read their privacy information before providing personal data. We may update this notice when our processing, suppliers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always appear on this page.
