Online Sulphate Analyser

Use a dedicated turbidimetric sequence for online sulphate measurement in suitable water applications.

Online Sulphate Analyser with 3S

The 3S sulphate method uses controlled barium sulphate precipitation and an optical reading to monitor sulphate in drinking water, wastewater, raw water and suitable process applications. Sample conditioning helps maintain the suspension during the programmed measurement sequence.

The appropriate cell, dilution arrangement and measuring range depend on the expected sulphate concentration and sample condition. PMA confirms the final configuration against the current parameter documentation; a disputed upper-range figure is deliberately not published here. Explore the 3S-CL colorimetric analyser, review 3S applications or discuss sample preparation with PMA Support.

Repeatable online sulphate measurement in a compact analyser

The programmed sequence handles the sample and reagents automatically, allowing operators to review sulphate results and analyser status through the integrated touchscreen.

01 / SULPHATE METHOD

Parameter-specific sulphate measurement

The configured method precipitates sulphate as barium sulphate, maintains the suspension with conditioning reagent and measures turbidity at 430 nm.

  • Turbidimetric barium sulphate method
  • 6–8 minute complete cycle
  • Freely programmable analysis frequency

Designed for practical sulphate monitoring

The 3S separates its electronic and wet compartments while keeping sulphate results, analyser status and configuration accessible through the colour touchscreen.

Touchscreen

Review sulphate results, status information and analyser functions.

Automatic routines

Calibration, validation and cleaning run at selectable intervals.

Separate compartments

Electronic and wet-chemistry sections are physically separated.

Low reagent use

The datasheet states 2 L per reagent for the 16 mm cell or 3 L for the 26 mm cell every 30 days at a 15-minute analysis frequency.
